Lenovo IdeaPad 520S laptop Review, Specs and Price

We all know who the king is when it comes to sleek and bezel palm top, laptops and mini laptops. Lenovo is a force to reckon with in the industry as they offer dynamic products that are ever catchy to the eyes.


When it comes to laptop computers lenovo boast of 3 powerful products- Yoga, IdeaPad, and ThinkPad. If you are looking forward to reliability and durability then you can count on lenovo. The company recently launched a new product in its Ideapad collection, the Lenovo IdeaPad 520S.

This device was first unveiled earlier in July in India with only a variant, and it was sold at Rs 57,114. The Lenovo IdeaPad 520S comes Intel 7th gen Kaby Lake processor and like other laptops in the Ideapad 500 series, meets the needs of regular and multimedia users.

From afar the laptop looks somehow quack and dull, but don't be fooled, it is very durable. It comes with an average body build and size. Aluminium is the dominant material used in the 1.7kg IdeaPad 520S and it's matte metal look also gives a touch of elegance.

One little set back is that it is not going to support an ethernet LAN cable port. But, it still comes with some of the basics such as USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB Type-C 3.0, HDMI port and a 4-in- 1 (SD, SDHC, SDXC and MC) card reader. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack as well along with a dedicated power port on the left side. As expected, there are no side exhausts as the outlet has been entirely shifted underneath.

As common with most lenovo devices, the lenovo ideal pad 520s comes with a qwerty keyboard. The backlit keys are made out of plastic but are not flimsy like we've seen in a few other brands' products.

The device also comes with a security finger print sensor just below the keyboard area. Also, the cylinderical hinge that connects the screen and the keyboard can spin over 180 degrees.


Lenovo Ideapad 520S comes with a 14-inch HD (1366x768 pixels) Anti-Glare display with a matte coating. The company has included a non-touch screen display, which also has a matte coating. Continue reading..
